CHILDREN with disabilities sang their hearts out at a special Divali celebration that warmed the heart.
The ten youngsters from the Awaaz group - a club for children with disabilities held at the Newtown Youth Centre, Graham Road, Southampton - delighted guests with their performance.
Singing songs such as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in English and Indian and with a special rap performed by nine-year-old Shahid Ishfaq, Southampton mayor Cllr Parvin Damani MBE who attended was also impressed.
She said: "I was one of the initiators and I love coming to the group. It's good to see that from little acorns you get big oak trees and parents involved in the running of the club are more confident now."
The group is held between 4.30pm and 6.30pm every Thursday.
