COMPUTER entertainment store GAME opened its new flagship store in Basingstoke's Festival Place last Friday.
It has moved to the new unit on the ground floor of the shopping centre as part of a big investment in the town.
Europe's leading specialist retailer of video games and PC software recently announced plans to move its distribution centre and head office to Basingstoke next year.
Spokeswoman Lisa Artemis said the new store is part of GAME's commitment to the town.
She said: "Festival Place is a really, really big part of Basingstoke and we want to be right in the heart of it.
"We're really looking forward to moving the head office and to putting something back into the local area."
As a special opening offer, customers this week had the chance to get up to 20 per cent off any new software.
