SOULFUL songstress Trudy Kerr will be reviving some old classics at the Concorde Club, Eastleigh, next week with her tribute to jazz legend Chet Baker.
The Australian singer, who is a regular at Ronnie Scott's, will be thrilling local music fans with her intimate and informal style during the show on Tuesday, November 11, which is the latest in the club's series of Jazz Diva nights.
Trudy, 40, who teaches at London's Trinity College of Music, has been hailed as "one of the best of the young crop of jazz singers", and BBC Music Magazine described her five-piece band, which features her husband Geoff Gascoyne on bass, as "superb".
Trudy's latest album My Old Flame - Remembering Chet Baker is a homage to the late, great trumpeter and singer and has received glowing reviews since its release last year.
Her show promises to evoke the cool west coast jazz of the 50s with which Baker is indelibly associated.
Tickets for the show cost £8.50 for members and £10.50 for non-members.
