Lymington & New Milton are on cloud nine this morning following their devastating demolition of Hythe & Dibden in the second round of the Hampshire Senior Cup at Fawcetts Field.
The high-flying Linnets lashed nine goals without reply past their Hampshire Premier Division opponents with the Linnets' special K strike-force of Kev Reacord and Kev James each plundering hat-tricks.
A fine solo effort from Ben Thomson opened the scoring after four minutes, quickly followed by a Paul Sturmey header from Thomson's flag kick to make it 2-0.
Reacord then slammed in a stunning 35-yarder, bagged a simple tap-in from a neat pull-back from the byline before quickly completing his hat-trick with Kev James rifling in a sixth before half-time.
The goal-hungry Reacord, pictured, hit his fourth and Linnets' seventh goal soon after the restart with James poaching goals eight and nine to round off his treble-shooting exploits for the home side.
The only down side for Lymington was the dismissal of Darren Curtis, who was red-carded for an alleged head-butt on Wayne Harvey after the Hythe man had brought him down.
