GIVEN that Abba themselves are unlikely to ever reform - especially now the sulky blonde one, Agnetha, is living in virtual self-imposed exile - the existence of tribute bands like Bjorn Again must be of great comfort to hardcore fans.
Now one of the most popular tribute acts in the world, Bjorn Again have been paying (slightly tongue in cheek) homage to the Swedish fab four for the last 14 years - far longer, in fact, than Agnetha, Anni-Frid, Benny and Bjorn spent producing hit singles.
Recalling the group in their mid-70s heyday, Bjorn Again don satin jumpsuits and platform boots to belt out classic numbers like Fernando, Chiquitita, Waterloo and, of course, Dancing Queen - all of which are guaranteed to have audiences shimmying in the aisles.
The real Abba formed in the early 70s and swept to victory in the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo. Between 1975 and 1981 they enjoyed an uninterrupted run of 18 top ten hits, including eight number ones.
Wednesday and Thursday. Performance: 7.45pm. Tickets: from £15. Box office: 01256 844244.
