HAMPSHIRE'S naked rights campaigner Steve Gough's hopes of completing his controversial walk from Land's End to John O'Groats has gone off track again.
The 44-year-old Eastleigh father of two, who has been nicknamed the Naked Rambler, will remain behind bars until his trial on November 7.
He was arrested in the Scottish Highlands while trying to complete his nude trek which has brought him global media attention.
On Wednesday he appeared handcuffed at Dingwall Sheriff Court wearing nothing but a beige blanket tied around his waist with a brown leather belt.
Gough denies walking naked in the presence of the public in circumstances likely to produce a road safety hazard and a breach of the peace on Cromarty Bridge, Ardullie in Ross-shire on October 3.
He also denies breaching bail granted by Perth Sheriff Court and Inverness Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Alasdair MacFadyan set the trial for November 7 and Gough was remanded in custody. The hearing lasted about three minutes and Gough spoke to confirm his plea.
The former Royal Marine set off on his nationwide crusade on June 16 but his clothes-free trek has been punctuated by arrests.
