BACON was in the air at Longbridge Close on Saturday, October 25, when Natalie Larner hosted the All Day Breakfast, organised by me.
This joint venture was an outstanding success with around 110 people enjoying breakfast. The last guests left at 4.10pm and a staggering £1,040 was raised for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
There are too many people to thank, but you know who you are.
Public thanks to Ken, Julie and Steve for their much-appreciated contribution.
It was a great team effort. We hope you enjoyed it as much as "the staff" did.
EVERGREENS autumn fayre is on Saturday, November 8, from 2pm to 4pm in the village hall, and there will be a Christmas stall too.
The Evergreens recently enjoyed their trip to Turners in Northampton, where the club had a meal on arrival and then watched a variety show.
SCHOOL reunion went well on Saturday, October 25, with just under 30 former school pals enjoying a ploughman's supper, apple pie and drinks in the village hall.
Cynthia Turvey said: "It would have been nice if a few more locals had attended, as most of those who did come had travelled quite long distances."
Cynthia thanks those who gave towards the raffle and also Tina Taplin for her help with clearing and washing up.
POPPIES are on sale now. Please remember those ex-service men and the troops currently serving in 28 conflicts around the world.
