RAISING the Roof: The Forest Forge theatre Company started off our new season of theatre evenings with a fast-moving and very funny tale.
All village hall users will recognise the problems that arise when trying to organise fundraising events using local talent and trying not to put too many "backs up".
The thought of the hall's group of belly dancers performing to The Sound of Music in nuns' costumes was mind-boggling!
More than 90 people of all ages enjoyed a good evening of entertainment, courtesy of Forest Forge and the Hog the Limelight scheme, run by the Hampshire County Council arts office.
The next production will be on December 13, when Proteus come back again to Pamber Heath with The Amazing Adventures of Colonel Cody. This is one for all the family, so put it in your diaries now.
CALENDARS for 2004: TADS have produced a calendar for next year showing local village scenes.
It is proving to be very popular and is selling fast. It costs £3.50 and can be bought at our local post office in Pamber Heath.
A donation to charity will be made from the proceeds of the sales.
