THE Mayor of Test Valley Pat West and deputy mayor Neville Whiteley were just two of the guests who got on their gladrags and enjoyed a charity medieval banquet at the Grosvenor Hotel in Stockbridge on Friday night.
Around £400 was raised for the mayor's appeal with more to follow from fancy dress shop Mad Rags which is to donate an amount from each costume hired from them for the evening.
Borough councillors, staff and guests dressed as wenches, henchmen and noble guests and enjoyed wandering minstrels, period games and contests. Nine other the civic heads from around Hampshire joined the mayor for the event.
