A SOUTHAMPTON businessman hopes football proves to be a money old game after setting up his latest venture.
Peter Young's Memorabilia Gallery in Old Northam Road features a treasure trove of signed shirts and other goods signed by the game's greats over the years.
Mr Young, who also owns a scaffolding firm, told the Daily Echo earlier this week how he planned to call last orders on his pub, The Le Tissier Arms/Feet, because of an outbreak of violence earlier this season.
His new business features football shirts and photos signed by the likes of Gordon Banks and Stanley Matthews as well modern-day heroes such as David Beckham and Paul Gascoigne.
Mr Young said: "We've only just opened but we've already had an excellent response."
He is currently in talks with a brewery about selling the pub on.
