COUNTRY legend Don Williams has announced a full UK tour for next spring, including a date on the south-coast
The gentle giant of country music undertakes a 13-date nationwide tour next May,calling at the Bournemouth International Centre on Saturday, May 22.
His repertoire including such much-loved songs as I Recall a Gypsy Woman, You're My Best Friend, Good Ole Boys Like Me, I Believe in You, Love Is On a Roll, Amanda and Tulsa Time, Williams still boasts a devoted international following.
With the help of an accomplished road band, he prides himself on creating music that speaks to everyone - aided, of course, by warm baritone and familiar, down-to-earth image (complete with custom-made Stetson).
Support for the tour comes from Judy Collins, the American star best known for her rendition of Amazing Grace, which spent 86 weeks in the UK charts between 1970 and 1972 - longer than any other single by a female artist.
She was also the first singer to get a Joni Mitchell composition into the charts, with her 1970 hit Both Sides Now.
