CONNOR McMain got off to a flying start with his magic lessons during an activity day at Manor Farm Country Park.
The youngster, Jack and Adam Baker and Lydia Wheeler all attended Victorian schoolmistress Miss Stubbs's course on witchcraft and wizardry.
Staff at the park have organised a whole range of activities to take place over the Hallowe'en half-term holiday.
Visitors can also collect hens' eggs during meet the animals sessions as well as make lanterns and enjoy farmyard tours with Walter Stubbs.
Admission to the various sessions, including the magic class, is included in the cost of entry to the park - £4.60 for adults, £3.10 for children and £4.10 for OAPs.
For more information on days out at the park, which can be entered from Pylands Lane, Bursledon call 01489 787055.
