Sir.-Re: "A Place to be Proud of".
I would like to say that we lived in Basingstoke from 1966 to 1997, having moved from London to a new factory and new house.
The town grew to what it is today, with growth in business, hospitals, and shops.
We have good memories of our time there and also our children had a good education.
We still visit from time to time and are very proud to have lived there.
