A local person recently won £5,000 on the radio station 2-TEN FM by guessing the mystery sound. Congratulations to that person.
If you are aged between 18 and 40 (up to 43 for some groups), weigh at least eight stone (seven stone for some groups) and are in good health, then a team from the Anthony Nolan Trust will be visiting the Rec Soc on Monday, December 9, from 11am to 2pm, and would like people interested in bone marrow donation to go along to register and be committed.
THE First Tadley Guides had a talk recently by Ann Broad, who was representing Calleva Life Saving Club.
This is a swimming club specifically for Scouts and Guides and meets on Fridays, at 7.30pm, at Cranbourne School, Basingstoke.
DOES anyone have one of those beaded back rests? If so, the Guides could make good use of it.
They are also holding a jumble sale in St Paul's Hall, on the Green, on Saturday, November 8, at 2pm, and would appreciate any jumble.
