UP AND coming band Delays are back on home turf on Monday when the Southampton lads take to the stage at the Joiners.
The indie rock foursome have already enjoyed chart success and plenty of air time on Radio 1 with their debut single, Nearer than Heaven, and follow up Hey Girl, both released earlier this year. Hey Girl was a favourite of Radio 1 DJs Mark and Lard, who made it a record of the week.
The band - Greg Gilbert, Aaron Gilbert, Colin Fox and Rowly - met at school in Southampton and united thanks to a shared love of Twin Peaks, The Prisoner, The La's and Diego Maradonna.
Probably more relevant are their musical influences, which include The Hollies and Cocteau Twins.
Great things are expected for the band, so this might be one of the last opportunities to see the lads in a smaller venue - make the most of it!
