SAINTS legends Matthew Le Tissier and Francis Benali are preparing to launch a new business venture online.
The pair have been instrumental in setting up a True Greats website based loosely on the hugely popular Friends Reunited side.
And it will be officially unveiled at a star-studded party in London next Tuesday attended by the likes of Lawrie McMenemy, Wayne Bridge, Alan Hudson, Rodney Marsh, Peter Osgood, Paul Allen and Neil Ruddock.
Benali, who still holds a playing registration at St Mary's but is concentrating on his coaching career with Saints' youngsters, explained the idea.
"Matt and I were talking one night and the conversation got around to former colleagues and what they were up to these days," said the defender.
"Then the penny dropped - maybe there was a business angle to this? And we came up with the website idea, and it evolved from there.
"We want to try and put ex-professional players in contact with their old colleagues, but it's not a site just for Saints or the Premiership, it's for everyone.
"And it's not just for old players either, it's for former officials, managers, referees, commentators. We think it's a good idea. How many times do fans get together down the pub or at a party and the talk gets around to former players, and stories from the past?
"This will give fans a chance to ask their favourite players from the past anything they want, and the players can respond if they want to.
"There will also be a chance for fans to ask about the whereabouts of their favourite players."
Asked which ex-players he would particularly like information on, Benali said: "That's a tough one.
"Kenny Dalglish was one of my boyhood idols, I don't know what he's up to these days.
"It would be unfair to single out too many of my former Saints colleagues, but Terry Hurlock, for example, is someone who I have no idea what he's doing at the moment."
The website will be 'live' from Wednesday onwards and can be visited at www.truegreats.com
