REHEARSALS are well and truly under way at Central Studio for Anthony Schaffer's black comedy Murderer.
The production is being brought to life by a strong cast of four, led by director Crispian Cook, from tomorrow until Saturday, at 7.45pm daily.
Always wanting to bring challenging and varied work to the audience of Basingstoke, the Central Studio theatre Company have chosen Murderer for its macabre humour and witty script. Anthony Shaffer, who is sadly recently deceased, was also the pen behind Sleuth and The Wicker Man.
This sinister tale of murder, sex and deceit is well worth buying a ticket for.
Other recent mind-blowing CSTC productions include Gangster No 1, Widows and The Importance of Being Earnest. Murderer will carry on CSTC's aim of always producing great shows and giving their audience an inspiring evening of theatre.
Crispian says: "The play's raw story, mixed with dark humour and fantastic performances by all the actors, is sure to make a night out to remember."
The cast of familiar faces, who have been seen treading the boards in many other CSTC productions, will include Darren Collier, Polly Earwicker, Elizabeth Bartholomew and Joe French.
Tickets for Murderer are available from the box office on 01256 418318, or by calling in to Central Studio on the Queen Mary's College campus.
