SCORES of musical youngsters at a Sarisbury school hit a high note with a concert they composed themselves for parents.
More than 60 young musicians aged 11 to 12 took part in Brookfield Community School's Year 7 concert after writing a range of music for funerals, carnivals and Christmas.
Director of music Shaun Riches said: "We wanted an event for pupils who would not normally take part in.
"We have a lot of very talented musicians at the school and a lot of bands and groups of high quality.
"The Year 7 concert was particularly designed for young people who do not have music lessons outside school hours and who have not played in a band before."
