SPARSHOLT College is strengthening its academic links with nearby Marwell Zoo near Winchester.
The UK Zoo Federation has chosen it to run its courses to train zoo keepers and managers.
This summer, 24 members of the Sparsholt animal studies team, accompanied by Peter Burcher the general curator of Marwell, visited Denmark for a study tour.
Robin Taylor-Milton, college deputy section manager who organised the tour, said: "It was a fantastic opportunity to visit the Danish college and to see how they operate, and it was an extremely successful study tour."
Further expansion of the animal management centre is under way, with extensions to the dog kennels and cattery facilities and additional veterinary nursing teaching rooms are planned.
Mr Taylor- Milton added: "These new facilities will be second-to-none and the section is going from strength-to strength."
