MID HANTS teams proved they have got what it takes in their first games of the season.
The Under-14 A and Under-16 B teams fought hard representing the county in a 'triangle' fixture, playing two teams in one day.
The under-14s took their first game by storm, winning 41-12 against East Dorset, showing pure determination and playing as a team.
Mel Coussack played some lovely netball and demonstrated a wonderful stretch. She made some impressive interceptions throughout the game.
The girls were very strong in attack as both shooters showed they are a hot combination at county level. They produced excellent movement and driving to the circle.
The under-14s also gave Oxfordshire a hard time in their second game. They girls took no prisoners hitting their opponents hard from the start and running up a 32-8 win.
The under-16 team also beat East Dorset as their first game, looking very strong and hitting hard from the start.
The girls could afford a few teething problems but also demonstrated some great play and team sprit.
They seemed a little nervous in their first game and it took the first quarter for them to get settled. But they led throughout to win 35-16.
Playing to the cost effective 'triangle' system which sees three teams in action againsteach other, the under-16s found their second game a bit tougher.
The Oxfordshire team were big girls and a very strong team and they took the lead in the first quarter. The Mid Hants girls were chasing from the start the overall score was 20-12 to Oxfordshire.
