THE FOURTH series of the Lawn Tennis Association's Red Team Challenge has started at Totally Tennis.
The challenges, which have been running for over a year, saw a new generation of young players representing their club.
A total of three teams entered the tournament, each with a team of four under-eight players - one from Winchester and two teams from Totally Tennis.
Each entrant played as a member of a team, collecting points according to their success in the mini tennis matches and co-ordination games they played.
On the day, Winchester won with 1,150 points, narrowly pipping Totally Tennis A, who scored 1,130, followed by Totally Tennis B on 540 points.
Totally Tennis senior coach Danny Fowkes, who ran the event, said: "This is the first time many of the players had even played a competition and so it was a very good experience for them."
