Millbrook enjoyed a good day on the field as they prepare to break their Hampshire League One duck, as both their second XV and veterans pulled off excellent victories against good opposition.
The vets, made up mainly of the first XV squad, smashed their counterparts from Winchester 58-26 with Mike Goodridge grabbing a hat-trick and hooker Colin Scott running from inside his own half to cross twice.
A penalty from Wayne Smart was all that separated Southampton Vets and Stoneham Park as both sides scored a converted try, but the Hampshire Three strugglers again went down narrowly.
Romsey II should have beaten a strong Alton II outfit and would have done had Nick Creal slotted one of the four missed kicks that came his way in a 10-8 loss, while Tottonians II squeezed past Southampton II 14-13 in a thriller.
