EVERGREEN striker Teddy Tugwell has hit the comeback trail in some style for Locks Heath.
Tuggers has been banging in the goals for more than 15 years in local football until taking time out for domestic reasons.
But he made his return for Locks two weeks ago and rubber-stamped his first team credentials with one of the goals in Saturday's shock 3-2 win over Premier Division title hopefuls East Cowes Vics at Whippingham.
Tugwell and one of Locks' youngest attackers, Dan Jones, were on target to ease the pain for manager Kev Parris after the club's surprise recent exit from the Southampton Senior Cup .
Poole Town vice chairman Chris Reeves believes the Premier Division title race will be one of the most open of all time after his side got back on the championship trail with a comprehensive 4-1 win at Petersfield.
Poole have wobbled with a couple of defeats against VT and Lymington Town but, after being pegged to 1-1 in the first half, they ran away with it thanks to strikes from Lee Manning, Boris Cornick (2) and James Wood.
Even the loss of goalkeeper Neil Potter with concussion and a split lip late in the second half couldn't stop Poole who put their new centre half Nigel Evans between the sticks.
Lymington Town confirmed their growing threat to the front-runners with an emphatic 5-1 win over Brading, who had held high-riding Liss last week.
It wasn't as straightforward as the scoreline suggests. Brading took the lead from the penalty spot before Paul Sims and Danny Veal swung it Lymington's way before half-time. Even then they had to wait until the final ten minutes for their next three goals from Sims, Robbie Walker and Scott Metcalfe.
Goalkeeper Al Plater was still celebrating Gary Biddle's second-half goal for Bishop's Waltham when Amesbury bagged an instant equaliser.
They spotted Plater off his line applauding Biddle when they took the kick off and with the second touch chipped him from the halfway line!
Horndean's 17-year-old debut keeper John Burnett saved a second-half penalty against Ringwood Town and the teenager's all-round performance earned him manager Paul Ryan's man of the match award.
Horndean beat Ringwood 3-0 with two goals from Steve Warwick and another from Ashley Howard (laid on by Warwick) to confirm that they, too, could be one of the teams chasing the honours.
Clanfield slipped off the top of Division 1 when they found themselves without a game last week, but got their title challenge back on track with a 1-0 win at Tadley where Jimmy Hickley hit the decisive goal with only seven minutes left.
Kev Mackay gave QK Southampton the lead in their Division 2 match against Durley but, after dominating much of the first-half, QK lost the initiative and a good young Durley side ran out 3-1 victors.
