Former Lymington defender Dave Mardon made a winning debut for BAT as they defeated visiting Ash 3-0 in the FA Vase.
Mardon was signed over a month ago but had been out injured. "He was superb," gushed boss Andy Leader.
It was midfielder Paul West and striker Richard Gregory who combined to send BAT through,
West set up Gregory for the opening goal before West doubled the advantage ten minutes into the second half.
BAT's win was completed when West put Gregory through again to score.
"We were up against a big, physical side who came to bully us," said Leader, "but it didn't work."
Elsewhere in the Vase, Totton face a replay at Bedfont tomorrow after being held to a 2-2 home draw.
A goal from Floyd Hamadou gave Fareham victory at Abingdon.
