EMERGENCY services were called to an accident at one of Hampshire's newest roundabouts yesterday afternoon.
The incident, involving three cars, happened on the Bar End Road, Winchester, by the ATS Tyres store just after 2.15pm.
Police and firefighters rushed to the scene and fire crews were forced to remove the roof from a woman's car, after it became apparent she had a history of back injuries and couldn't be easily extricated. The two other vehicles involved in the smash, described by Winchester traffic police as very minor, are understood to have driven away once the incident had been dealt with.
Officers say the road was kept open during the clean-up operation and no further inquiries are being made into the cause of the crash.
