STREAMSIDE Cottage is a chocolate box gem for the autumn property market which has been lovingly renovated and extended by its owners over the last five years.
But now they are looking to move on, and the thatched home is being sold through estate agents Bradford and Bingley Poulters with a price guide of £350,000.
The listed Streamside Cottage nestles in The Street in Old Basing, close to the village church, and has a decked sitting area next to the stream that runs along the edge of the garden.
Both reception rooms have beamed ceilings but the individual features are a brick-built inglenook in the sitting room and wood block flooring in the dining room.
The fitted kitchen, which is equipped with an oven and hob, has a door to the bathroom and double doors into a garden room.
The estate agents use the word "enchanting" to describe the garden room. It is timber-framed and has exposed brick walls supporting the windows. The floor is solid wood and there are gothic arched doors, with lead light glazing, to the garden.
A wooden staircase rises to the two bedrooms, which have stripped wood floors, and a cloakroom. The master bedroom also has a decorative fireplace set into a large chimney breast.
