WORK is scheduled to commence on the play area at the King George V Playing Fields on November 10 and should be completed around November 28.
I understand that it is to be sited opposite the ball wall, in the central area but close to the path.
I HAVE had some reaction to the "planning alert", which I commented on during the last two weeks.
One call was from the occupier of the Old Dairy, to whom I offer my apologies.
The area to be demolished is the old builder's yard, once known as Ballards. This is situated on the service road which runs between BCOT and Queens Road (east).
The Old Dairy plays no part in this planning application.
BCOT is running open evenings for those parents of Year 11 students who wish to investigate what the college has to offer. This opportunity is available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Students themselves are invited to a daytime tour on Tuesday. Contact the college for further details.
DATE for your diary: November 21, Cirque Surreal offers an opportunity to deduce "who dun it" while enjoying an evening meal.
