AS promised last week, here are the credits for the very successful village supper entertainment staged by the Ellisfield ladies (and gentlemen) in the Memorial Hall.
It's a long list and includes principal singers, the pianist, the Master of Ceremonies, the chorus, David Allard (joint piano donor), Steve Brabbin, Sheila Brown, Julie Dowson, Annie Duncan, Mark Duncan, Frances Elms, Seumas Foster, Meg Freeman, Tracey Freeman, Pat Gould, Maggie Heath, Linda Knight, Celia Lunn, Mick Lunn, Theresa Lunn, Clive Parnell-Hopkinson, Pauline Parnell-Hopkinson, Phil Self (comments from the audience), Sue Self, Neil Streeter (piano), Bill Thompson, Jim Welling (joint piano donor).
Perhaps we can have a programme next year as a permanent souvenir.
THERE'S another credit I'd like to include for the author of the Ellisfield song - or is it the Ellisfield "anthem"? - that brought the event to such a rousing conclusion.
So, let's hear it for Roger Graham who wrote the words to There'll Always Be An Ellisfield. To me, it's our very own Land of Hope and Glory.
CHRISTMAS Carols: This year the Ellisfield ladies are organising carols around the tree in St Martin's church-yard.
It should be terrific, a real village get-together, with mulled wine in the Memorial Hall afterwards.
Make a note of the date now - December 17.
