THE Christmas bazaar at the Oakridge Hall For All will be on November 15, from 2pm to 5pm.
The usual seasonal stalls will be there and, hopefully, Father Christmas will be dropping in.
AS a result of pressure on Oakfern, work on restoring the play area in Oakridge Road should already have started.
More than 100 names have been received on the petition from many people, particularly those living in Stratfield, Hailstone and Lansley roads. Petitions do have some effect. I will keep you posted.
THE sum of £2,000 has been granted by the council for environmental improvements to the Warton Road open space.
I am not yet sure when work will start, but watch this space.
ON an unhappy note, it seems that in spite of lots of pressure from the council, the traffic order for Queen Mary Avenue is being sat on by the county council.
Driving along there is extremely difficult. The county owes it to the residents to get moving on carrying out the work.
