THE WI was given a very interesting talk on love and marriage in art, illustrated with slides of classical pictures.
Ms Lenney pointed out many interesting points which provoked much discussion.
THE school had a visit from Julie Sykes, the children's author, and the following day the pupils arrived at school in cost-umes depicting characters from fiction.
Mr Cox, the headteacher, reports that there were 15 Harry Potters and six Snow Whites. The staff also dressed up, much to the delight of the children.
THE Guide's jumble sale was very successful. Plenty of goods were for sale and the remaining items were donated to the British Heart Foundation.
THE NSPCC sale was on Thursday at the village hall and raised much-needed funds.
