THE head teacher of a Hampshire school attacked by vandals has praised the Daily Echo for its help in trying to track down the culprits.
Yesterday we published pictures of the two suspects who took photographs of themselves causing £2,000 of damage to two classrooms at Wicor Primary school, in Portchester.
During their rampage they poured paint into computers, let off fire extinguishers and stapled children's toys on the walls.
Marc Wildman today said he was "extremely grateful" to the Daily Echo for publishing the photos after the yobs left the camera behind with the film inside during the weekend attack.
"The support we have had from the Echo has been absolutely great," he said.
"I am glad the pictures have gone in the paper and I would urge anyone who recognises the faces to get in touch with the police."
Pupils aged seven and eight are now back having lessons in the two vandalised classrooms at the school after staff carried out a big cleaning operation of the mess which included human faeces.
Anyone with information can call Fareham police on 0845 045 4545 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
