A £1m fleet of easy-access buses has won an award for an Eastleigh bus company.
Solent Blue Line scooped the Eastleigh Accessibility Award - set up jointly by Eastleigh Council and Shopmobility - for the first time at an awards ceremony held at Southampton International Airport.
The award was established just over a year ago and Solent Blue Line introduced their new fleet for the borough in May.
In a message to Solent Blue Line drivers, Eastleigh mayor Councillor Glynn Davies-Dear, said: "I would like to congratulate Solent staff on their efforts in boosting access with the new buses.
"I would remind them of the difference they can make personally in providing essential mobility for many members of the community."
Solent Blue Line's managing director, Malcolm Venn, said: "We are delighted with this award which recognises both the substantial investment in new vehicles and the key role our drivers play."
