NEIGHBOURS in a cul-de-sac in Swanmore have turned their unwanted junk into hard cash for a Hampshire cancer charity.
Residents of Glendale turfed out all unwanted goods and sold them off in a garage sale which netted £365.
The cash will be donated to the Magpie appeal which is raising £3.5m for the Cancer Centre at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.
Keith Harrington said: "We decided to do this because several people in the close have benefited from treatment at the hospital.
"It was a great day. Somebody said to me that it was more like a street party. It was good fun and the kids all helped out."
Residents raised more than £400 four years ago with a similar garage sale for UNICEF.
