A DRUGS seminar is to be held in Goodworth Clatford on Monday to raise awareness of issues surrounding drugs and drug abuse.
The event is open to anyone interested in learning more about drug issues.
Topics covered will include how people take recreational drugs, street names, what they look like, how the law classifies drugs, police definition, views of users and pushers, what the penalties are, routes to drug addiction, the long and short-term medical effects, signs to identify those doing drugs, the realities of addiction, how to get off drugs and the support available to users, their friends and families.
Beat officer WPc Sian Newland, Jo Jones and Maggie Cunliffe from the Dale Trust and Andrew Bradley, coroner for North East Hampshire, will be speaking at the event.
A representative of Mid Hampshire Primary Care Trust is also hoping to attend.
This will be followed by a questions and answers session.
The event, in Goodworth Clatford Village Club, starts at 7pm.
All are welcome.
