THE TWO classrooms damaged by vandals are due to be replaced by permanent buildings as part of an £820,000 revamp of the Portchester school.
Plans that are to be discussed by education bosses this week include building a four-classroom extension that will incorporate a music and drama room and library area.
If Hampshire County Council give the project the green light the extension should be
completed by August 2004.
Head teacher Mark Wildman, who has been pushing for the improvements, said: "It is
ironic that these classrooms were the ones due to be replaced with permanent buildings. That is something that we hope to get approval for soon."
