DISABLED pupils at Salterns School, Totton, are enjoying a new patio area thanks to volunteers from The Prince's Trust.
The Prince's Trust Volunteer Programme, based at St Mary's Fire Station, Southampton, is a 12-week self-development programme for people aged 16-25. Part of the programme is a two-week community based project, during which the team makes decisions on what tools and equipment are needed, raises the funds, plans the project and finally completes it.
"Prince's Trust Team 5 Southampton identified three different projects, and chose Salterns School because it was a challenging project and would benefit disabled pupils who were the same age as the team,'' said the Trust's Sean Duffy.
