RICKY isn't the only Martin capable of working an audience into a Latin fever - there's also Juan.

Flamenco guitarist Juan Martin will be working up to full steam when he brings his brand new music and dance show to the Theatre Royal Winchester this month.

A native of Andalucia, Martin has recorded 14 albums of his virtuoso guitar music and has been voted one of the top three guitarists in the world by Guitar Player magazine.

He now spends much of his time touring and in London, where he has formed his own company, Flamencovision, which aims to promote high quality flamenco.

He has also passed on his skills to others through his method book El Arte Flamenco de la Guitarra, which has thrown open the complex world of flamenco guitar.

Martin, pictured, arrived at his own distinctive compositional style after years of study in Madrid under masters including Paco de Lucia.

He gained further experience through recording with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and performing with the legendary likes of Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock.

His new show features gypsy singers and traditional South American flamenco styles alongside pieces from his latest album, Camino Latino.

You can see Juan Martin at the Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday, October 22 at 8pm.

Tickets cost from £10. Box office: 01962 840440.
