THE EIGHTH Totally Tennis mini tennis champions race started with a red challenge for Indians squad, followed a day later by orange and green events for Dodgers and Giants players.
This run of tournaments, held at the indoor centre are held on alternate weekends giving children under 10 an excellent opportunity to play competitive tennis as regularly as they like in a fun environment.
William Joyce, 6, won the red challenge with 37 points, Elite player Lewis Cooper won the orange event and Alex Davies managed to clinch the green event.
Player-of-the-day went to Nicholas Dingwall for being the best sportsman and hardest worker.
Totally Tennis coach Daniel Fowkes, who ran the orange and green events, said: "The mini tennis champions race has got off to a great start. Nearly every event this term is full already, meaning lots of young tennis players are getting a fun start to playing competitive tennis."
The winners of each event throughout the qualifying tournaments will play against each other in the mini tennis masters final in December to find the overall champions.
