ROMAN Britain is the setting of a new play being staged from tonight in aid of Southampton charity Leukaemia Busters.
The Arena, which can be seen at Talking Heads in Portswood, follows the lives of five citizens whose lives have been shaken by the recent sacking of their city by Boudicca.
The play has been written by Southampton resident Gela Jenssen, who says: "Without the community there can be no theatre. This production gives the local community the opportunity to experience the premiere of an original piece of work and at the same time to support a local charity."
You can see the play tonight until Thursday, with tickets priced £6.50. (£1 from the sale of each ticket will be donated to Leukaemia Busters.) Box office: 023 8067 1771.
