A FRUSTRATED tenant believes she cannot sell her mobile home in Colden Common because of her landlord's latest policy.
Marion Randell wants to move from Glen Park and says she has lost out on two offers because prospective buyers have been banned from bringing their dogs with them.
Landlord Albert Smith previously angered residents when he charged those with lots of pot plants more because of the extra water they use.
"I have lost out on two offers of £125,000 within a week because the new people wanted to bring their animals," said Mrs Randell, who has two cats herself.
"They said they were happy not to replace them when their pets died but that wasn't good enough. Everyone I know loves animals and I would never have bought this home if I had known this. The owners have said it's like Battersea Dogs Home here but if it is, it's a very quiet one!"
Mrs Randell is desperate to move to Southampton to care for her invalid mother and the two recent offers are the only ones she has had in six months.
She says other residents have been told they cannot replace their pets when they die and have been banned from bringing relatives' dogs onto the site.
"I cannot afford to lower my price any more and if I have to stay here to annoy him I will. If my cat Webby died tomorrow I would get a new one. If I had a husband who died, would I be told that I couldn't replace him with a new partner eventually?"
Liz Gordon, of Burns Road, Eastleigh, was one of the prospective tenants who made an offer on the property. She said: "I was really disappointed because I fell in love with the place but I couldn't move without my animals. They are like my family."
Mrs Randell does have a document laying out terms and conditions for residents which states "pets where permitted at the park owner's discretion" but neither she or Mr Smith has ever signed it.
Albert Smith, the park owner, refused to comment to the Daily Echo.
Mark Oaten, Winchester MP, spoke up for park residents this summer when Mr Smith took action to bring down his water bill. He banded their properties according to how many flowerpots they had outside.
