CONGRATULATIONS: Many congratulations to Josh Clinch who, at the age of 13, swam at the National Age Group Championships in July and August at Sheffield.
He gained fourth place in the Individual Medley and also swam in the team which got fourth place in Hampshire North Relay Squad. Josh has recently heard he has been selected for World Class Potential Start Programme, run by the National Swimming Association. He will take up his place at Loughborough later this year.
LITTLE Apples of Bramley: Work over the summer means the children have returned to start the autumn term with a brand-new soft play surface. The AGM is on Tuesday. All are welcome. Please also make a note of the fundraising event - a coffee morning on November 26.
NATIONAL Women's Register: The talk by Mr Brian Spicer, "The Rise and Fall of Hackwood House" on September 18, gave members an insight into the growth of the Hackwood Estate.
Brian explained that the fall had come about with Hackwood being split up and sold in parts. Brian answered many questions and was thanked for a most interesting talk.
