ANTI-SOCIAL behaviour: Pc Andy Reid is looking for evidence of anti-social behaviour and has circulated report forms at random round the village asking for records to be kept of all forms of anti-social behaviour such as foul language, vandalism, litter and noise.
The forms are completely anonymous but Andy's intention is to gather information leading to the issuing of Anti Social Behaviour Orders against named individuals.
REWARD: In my book, the person most deserving of prosecution is the one who persistently allows their dog to foul the verge on Halfpath by the fire station. The parish council has offered a reward of £50 to anyone offering information which leads to a prosecution for dog fouling.
LITTER bins: One of the bins on the recreation ground was completely trashed several weeks ago. I gather that it cannot be replaced as the borough has run out of bins. Why doesn't the borough give the money to the parish council to provide their own bins?
LEADERS wanted: Shirley Thompson, who has been such a tireless leader of the Guiding movement in our area, is retiring at the end of the year. The Guides are searching for new leaders both for the Guides and Brownies. Call Jane James on 01256 850171.
VILLAGE of the Year: If you want to help, please call Len Potts on 297832.
