Winchester City returned to the top of the SWL summit following their 2-1 success at home to Hamble ASSC.
Striker Andy Forbes had already rattled the woodwork when he gave his side the lead on 31 minutes by sweeping home a Shaun Dyke cross.
Michael Dean also saw his effort thump the bar before City doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time when Danny Smith netted from Dyke's corner. Hamble pulled one back through substitute Tef Edin with ten minutes remaining.
