A FASHION show at Winchester's Brooks Shopping Centre has helped raise hundreds of pounds for one of the south's biggest cancer charities.
The show, staged by the tenants of the centre's shops, is now a bi-annual event raising money for the Wessex Cancer Trust - the centre's chosen charity.
So far the latest show, which was launched by youngsters modelling clothes from high street retailer New Look, is thought to have raised more than £650 for the charity, though more is yet to be added.Along with New Look, British Home Stores (BHS) and Beales also paraded their latest designer-wear, while Hawkins Bazaar put on a demonstration of their toys and gadgets to ensure the less fashionably-minded didn't get bored.
Pam Gillard, Centre Manager, said: "It's a big thank you to the shops on a busy Saturday to find models and dressers to put on these fabulous shows, but also we need to recognise the time given by Winchester Group of the Wessex Cancer Trust who volunteer to do the collections."
