WORLD record-breaking hurdler Colin Jackson was at Norman Court Preparatory School on Saturday to officially open the new athletics track and sports field.
The champion athlete cut the ribbon at the West Tytherley school's 50th birthday celebrations and spent lots of time chatting to the children and signing autographs.
Former pupils returned to the Hampshire school and joined current students, parents and staff for a champagne celebration and picnic on the lawns to mark the Founders Day.
Musical entertainment was provided by a concert from past and present pupils followed by a superb performance from the Royal Marine Cadets.
Colin said he was delighted to open the new 10 acre sports field and grass running track which will also be used by the local community.
