SINGER Jane McDonald plays a brace of dates in the south next month as part of her UK tour.
Accompanied by a five-piece band, the cruise ship singer turned TV star will be dropping anchor at Bournemouth International Centre on October 17 and The Anvil, Basingstoke on October 21.
The Wakefield girl, who started her singing career performing in clubs, pubs and town halls, became a household name in 1997 on BBC1 docusoap The Cruise, which was set on cruise liner The Galaxy.
Her debut self-titled album achieved Guinness Book of Records fame, as Jane was the first artist to go straight to top spot in the album charts without a prior release. Her new album is Love at the Movies. Tickets cost from £17.50. For more information call Bournemouth on 01202 456456 or Basingstoke on 01256 844244.
