Southampton sit proudly at the top of the South Women's League after consecutive wins over Rover Oxford and near neighbours Havant.
They followed up an opening day 5-2 win over Oxford with a Jo Knight inspired 3-2 win at Havant.
Southampton, who host Bracknell at the Sports Centre on Saturday (12 noon), snatched an early lead through a fine individualist goal by Knight, but by half-time were 2-1 in arrears
But Southampton's former Welsh international star Sue Crowley twice came up trumps in the second half to turn the match on its head.
She equalised from a short corner and later - from another set-piece - struck the upright for Knight to nip in with the winner.
But Southampton II came unstuck badly against newly promoted Trojans II, who celebrated their Hampshire League, Division 1 debut with a 5-0 win at Stoneham Lane.
Southampton defended well and it took a penalty stroke from Zoe Wilmshurst - awarded when Rachel Adams upended Jenny Turvey - to break them down.
Turvey's second goal after the break proved crucial, with Southampton subsequently unable to stem the flow of passes from midfield.
Louise Oakley bagged Trojans' third, with Nadine Devereux and Izzy Cochrane completing the scoring.
Winchester played some sparkling hockey in the initial stages against title holders Aldershot & Farnham, but were eventually beaten 3-0.
Fareham and Romsey are off to winning starts in Division 2.
Taff French scored twice as Fareham, with the aid of singles from Maggie Kinder, Hanna Oldham and Holly Cameron, thumped Fleet 5-0.
Mel Brewer hit a second-half brace as Romsey trimmed Aldershot & Farnham II 3-1, with Ella Palmer getting the first goal.
City of Portsmouth II's slick short corner routine paid dividends against a gallant Southampton III, whose 4-0 defeat was largely down to three set-piece conversions.
