CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON swimmer Carol Baker has scooped TEN gold medals in one day.
Baker was competing in the 2003 Basingstoke Meet, which incorporated this yar's Hampshire County Masters Championships.
Baker won four golds in the county event and six more in the Basingstoke meet.
Carole Clouter won three golds in each competition, and Kjell Nolke won three county golds and one Basingstoke gold.
Despite the number of City of Southampton swimmers being relatively low, the club were fifth overall in the Basingstoke competition and sixth overall in the Hampshire Masters out of 26.
Ann Spelman won gold for 400m freestyle, Louise Walker for 200m backstroke, and Jerry Jerome for 400m freestyle.
A newcomer to the medals was Kumiko Moore, with a silver and a bronze.
CoS had a clean sweep in the ladies 100m Freestyle event in age group D thanks to Baker,Walker and Spelman.
The Masters section of the club trains regularly on a Thursday night at the Quays swimming and diving complex.
