The David Lloyd netball team faced a tough challenge as they took on Embley Park School's upper sixth squad.
Embley Park have been training for just two weeks having had had the whole summer off.
Both teams showed some lovely play from the start with the Embley girls demonstrating their set moves wonderfully.
Throughout the game it was very close with both teams battling to dominate.
It was clear that both sides had made a lot of progress since they last played each other. The weaker players in the squad demonstrated their keenness to prove their ability and it was great to see such teamwork from both sides.
The final score was 20-15 to the David Lloyd who had the edge and experience throughout.
It was unfortunate for the Embley girls as they battled so hard but just could not score off David Lloyd's mistakes.
There was also some nice vision and passing throughout the game. This was only a friendly for both teams to kick start their season.
