CHILDREN at a Hampshire hospice are to benefit from nearly £7,000 raised by a special business seminar at a leading venue in Southampton.
More than 100 people attended the day-long conference at the De Vere Grand Habour Hotel in aid of Naomi House at Sutton Scotney, near Winchester.
Meridian TV presenter Debbie Thrower was one of a number of high-profile consultants who provided invaluable advice on how to make superb business presentations.
She said: "Naomi House is a very special place and I was delighted to be able to support this event."
The event, which cost each participant £75, was organised by The Aziz Corporation, based near Winchester.
Khalid Aziz, chairman of The Aziz Corporation and one of the speakers, said: "To attend a seminar like this would cost hundreds of pounds if run on a commercial basis - this gave delegates the chance to experience this unique day at a bargain price and make a lot of money for Naomi House at the same time."
All the consultants gave their time free of charge, the hotel provided free facilities and refreshments, local firm Moxhams provided free visual aid equipment and Hampshire public relations firm Leepeckgreenfield produced a marketing leaflet free of charge.
